A great strength of Allie's is her open-mindedness to everyone's opinions and her adaptability to new ideas. Allie is practical, composed, and creates a cohesive and effective set environment. She is quick to capture the actors' own sensibilities and welcomes improv within a clear vision, bringing scenes to life. I was impressed by the way she communicates, making everyone feel important and essential to the project. She creates an energetic and fulfilling community and cares for each member on the team. Even during long shoots, her spirit and drive kept us going. Allie makes the most of a limited budget. This was evident in her smart use of very limited props. It was also evident in the way she scouted and chose locations. After having spoken to Allie, most of the location owners welcomed her to shoot for free. I suspect this was because of her ability to communicate the importance of the story and foster a high level of trust.

Having Allie as a student was remarkable, and just a small window to the intelligence, creativity, commitment and talent that I have continued to witness since and that she brings to any project she is involved with.
